"The Giant Orchid" is my biggest piece on canvas and took me 2 and a half weeks from start to finish. I really didnt think I could pull this one off so I had to lock myself in my room, turn off my phone, focus and just paint.
When I finally finished I couldnt show it because "Padmini" was out of town. We made plans to hire some "maintenance" guys to install the piece on the wall but they sold us out, so we took it upon ourselves and went to "Home Depot" to get this crazy tall ladder that could hardly fit in the car. There are 7 pieces that make up the "The Giant Orchid" so it took about 15 mins to install each piece. "Padmini" read out the measurements from below while I figured out what went where, at the same time trying to keep my balance. The good thing about the piece is that it has much color and detail, and because it hangs and is surrounded by 3 long white  walls (top and 2 sides) when you walk up the staircase, you cant help but sit down and stare at the piece for hours (chromotherapy).
Overall it was a wonderful experience and I loved every bit of it...The Power of Color.
