| I was reading and studying up on the artist "Henri Matisse" and just like him, I've been going through this phase where painting is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth (not really though)...I know how to paint and that's that...I want to try something else besides brushes and acrylics paints...Matisse ran into his phase in 1946...Early in June, he turned down a contract that he had been offered by the art dealer Paul Rosenbeg invoking that he was going to drop painting for decorative work such as tapestries, frescos, etc...and as he quotes "I will not be painting pictures for a long time, Just exceptionally."...This influenced me to create this collage / cut-out collection where each piece is encased in it's very own frame and just like Matisse, I believe I will be sticking to this genre for a while...ENJOY! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
