| I've always wanted to paint a jazz piece ever since I started collecting jazz music...I started to create this piece and didnt "plan" on any color scheme or anything of that sort they teach you in college or high school...I just went with the flow of things and did what came to heart...I've been listening and collecting jazz music for over a year now...I listened to a lot of "Billie Holiday" albums, The "Playing By Heart" Movie Soundtrack, John Coltrane's "Giant Steps", Playboy's many "Jazz Compilations", "Sonny Rollins" and many more influences to get inspired to create this piece...I then had a little trouble picking out a song to go with the piece as I went through my many records and cd's trying to decide...I someday just happned to be listening to "Guru" & "Dj Premier's" album "Jazzmatazz" and when the song "A Jazz Thing" came on, I jumped up and said "YEAH! THAT'S THE F*$@#NG SONG"...ENJOY! ;) | |||||||||||||||||||||||
