Bio / Statement
I was originally born in West Africa, my Dad being from Lagos Nigeria (where I spent most of my childhood life growing up) and my Mom from Costa Rica...I attended Key West High School, graduated in 1997 and now reside in Hollywood Fl where I spend most of my time shooting photography painting and having fun with this thing called Art...

I've been drawing and sketching for a very long time now (dont know when I actually started) but I can tell you that I started getting into graffiti art in 1994 (
as a 9th grader). I became hooked ever since and now building up my writing skills to eventually take my abstract style to new heights. Before the discovery of graffiti, I was drawing and sketching still life objects (boring), characters from comic books and buildings from architecture books I would steal from my dad (hence the geometric style). I recently started painting in 2004 and now love working with acrylics...back then I would always tell myself that I would never paint on canvas. I found out that working with pencils, markers and ink pens always gave a better look to my art but also found out there was much MORE to learn...

Every artist has his or her own style and like they say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and "To each his own" so I draw and paint whatever catches my eye and feel. I eventually will own and run my own gallery to display not only my works but also the works of other
"underground" graffiti / innovative abstract artists like myself as graffiti and urban style street art today still doesnt get as much glory as it deserves.
About My Artworks
My works, I will describe as "innovative abstract"... I tend to look at things differently than most people, I combine all my styles by channeling everything I learned and picked up as a kid growing up...My "geometric" style is derived from studying architecture in books, measuring and then illustrating them on paper...I would measure the sides of the buildings with a ruler (down to the inches) and then draft them line for line on paper

(which takes forever to complete when trying to illustrate a whole building)

So now when I look at things like photographs, people, plants and biomorphic shapes, my mind starts to break down what I see into geometric form....weird but cool...I get my inspiration from everyday people that I meet, photographs, comic books, magazines and life, but I especially love to illustrate the human face because every face is different and unique with it's own story to tell...When it comes to graffiti, I'm able to transform the common everyday letters into a complicated construction of making connections with letters and interlocking arrows (I believe the "graffiti term" for this is "wildstyle") and its always cool to see the viewer try to figure out what the letters spell out. Most of my works are illustrated and painted in metaphor but are real easy to depict...
I really wount try to classify my work because I paint in visions...What comes to me is what I paint...

I dont think I'll ever stop painting...ENJOY!
