THE PSYCHOLOGY OF "COLOR"

The profound effect color has on our moods, emotional, and behaviour is reflected in the sayings that pepper our everyday language. We unconsciosly resort to these to describe how we are feeling or to explain our reaction to something. Using colours that everyone can relate to in these sayings makes them an
extremely effective form of communication.

THE POWER OF "ORANGE"
On the colour wheel orange falls between red and yellow and it therefore acts on both the physical body (red) and the intellect (yellow). Like red, it is a strong and vibrant colour and needs to be used with care. We associate orange with health and vitality; many people start the day with a glass of orange juice. It also has a tonic effect and is full of vitamin C, which is needed to boost the immune system and ward off colds and chills.

THE POWER OF "GREEN"
Green
is the colour of nature - of the fields, hills, and woods where we often go in order to refresh ourselves and recharge our batteries after a sojourn among the buildings of a town or city. In nature everything is in harmony and being surrounded by it we can find our centre again after a busy, stressful time at work or with family. Green is in the middle of the colour spectrum and holds the balance between the red (hot) and blue (cold) ends. If you are lacking in green energy, you are likely to be off centre. Just as green is the central colour of the spectrum, so the heart is the central organ of the body.
